Therapy Is Not A Dirty Word Q & A Happy Hour is part panel discussion, part mid-week happy hour and 100% fun and informative
Hosted by Esther Boykin, LMFT of Group Therapy Associates, this event is designed to give people a chance to tap into the wisdom of local experts and get to know real psychotherapists outside of their offices. It’s a chance to see that mental health professionals are not intimidating and that it actually feels good to talk about what’s real in our lives.
Each event has a different theme, and this time we're discussing how as a society, and various cultures are moving beyond stigma towards mental illness and seeking therapy. Once upon a time, therapy was considered taboo in the communities of people of color. While we have come a long way -- we still have a long way to go. We're here to talk more about how we all can help to improve the accessibility and psycho-education around therapy and counseling services. There are so many different ways to access a licensed mental health professional, don't miss out on your chance to speak with us in person and learn more ways to get the support you (or someone you love) needs!
